This guy loves his herring. Herring is an much loved snack, especially when served fresh. In the Netherlands we call that “haring happen”, where you hold a herring by the tail and let it slide into your mouth in one go. Not every Dutch person is a fan of herring, but secretly, especially during the herring season around the summer, we eat a few million kilos of herring together every year.
